Ford has made finding their paint code straightforward, and it is typically located in a single location. However, our list below is just a general overview, and it may be in a different place, depending on the model.

• Open your Ford’s driver’s side door
• Navigate to the door jamb
• Look for the VIN tag which should be about halfway up

How to understand your Ford paint code

Ford paint codes are usually two characters and may contain both numbers and letters. You may see other characters nearby, but these can be ignored.
